Sunflowers, Smile, and Her
Sunflowers, Smile, and Her
Sunflowers,Smile, and Her was drawn of the girl Phuong met in one of the most precious moments of her life.
When her family moved to the factory a bit near the border for a couple of times, Phuong and her parents were working and living in the small place.
Phuong said, “that was first time my family really felt like family”.
The girl in the painting was colored authentical.
It was an inspiring artistic way of capturing life, turning it into history, making fleeting moments eternal.
Phuong's very confident about that.
The girl shines with the sunflower with the sky, the chair, the clouds, everything in that moment was vividly captured in the painting, making me invent the stories around the art.
Did you know we are all in the same place, same original beginning, same species?
We find any reasons to divide, to prove we are different.
The darkening sunshine creates the yellow skin of Asians. Sun too shine makes The Chinese eyes appear smaller. Meanwhile, life in the mountains shapes faces longer, thick air molds our features, cold air weakens sun, create the pale skin of Westerners, and scorching heat deepens the tone of the African.
We live on the same planet with different shape by where we stay.
Where is the UK, US, Asia, North, South, Left, Right, Above, Below, races, directions, identities, title, scholar, PTSD, trauma,... We want to see differences.
Indeed, we are different.
Our stories, our history, and our experiences are different. I've been thinking about how the twin raised in one family grows up entirely different from one in another,
Just by the single compliment, it changed their whole part.
The way we react in the same book separates our beliefs. The goals in our minds shape the way we form thoughts, the way we collect knowledge, and create entirely different realities of ourselves.
From the deep blue sky above, there’s no seam alike.
We move around and do something, all called Homo sapiens, and yet, the sun shines on each of us in its own way.
Carrying the same ancient wisdom in our genes, but now we reach for the sky, mapping the stars, aiming for colonies beyond Earth, despite the risk of losing everything.
Every day, we make choices that define the future of our species.
The girl in the painting makes me wonder, who will she become? How is she now? Is she happy?
Which life she choose to live? What she gonna giving to the planet? or continuously bring the planet the good of the adult before her did.
Millions of possibilities.
You know, we all grow old and die, but the impact we leave, the way we shape the next generation, that decides how far humanity goes.
They are the future, and yet, they are also us. Imagination about her, is imagination about how the future look like.
The childs, they think smarter, see clearer, and understand deeper. It’s also you before.
So, what kind of world are we leaving for them? What role do we play in shaping their journey?
She painted this from the pure heart, knowing it would become valuable to someone.
The love you give to this painting carries its meaning forward.
Spread it with your wisdom.
Start the conversation, share the story.
"What is that painting?" Someone may ask.
And you will smile and say, "Sit down, let me tell you the story."
And in that moment, love grows.
Stories connect us, and generations later, the painting will still speak, carrying on the legacy that never fades.
Isn’t that is what Art truly is?
