Anonymous Person by Writing for your loneliness
Anonymous Person by Writing for your loneliness
Letter from the Artist:
"Hi, it's Phuong Le. I'll share with you the meaning of this poem. Read below:
For an artist, being an anonymous person is truly a painful experience we go through. It's also a beautiful moment for us to express ourselves authentically without concern about anybody else.
Take yourself anywhere, whether it's a paradise or a gloomy prison. You want to feel something more alive than your current situation.
Your brain carries a hammer in this internet world, getting you through the feeling of hopelessness. You try something, then drop it. Then, you try something again, and drop it. Your brain is being trained to feel heavier than ever.
You're drifting further away day by day on the internet, not knowing where you will return. And if you cannot appear properly with your real identity on the internet, you appear as an anonymous person.
But, as an anonymous person, you found someone, didn't you?
It's so lonely in the modern world, and the world in our mind feels like we're sketching it. But there's one thing – we're so lonely because nobody truly understands us anymore.
Big data gives you a whole world just for you alone. It's the unique way you experience your own world. That's why it's so hard to find someone who can have the same experiences as you on the internet and truly understand you.
You notice yourself a bit, and then some snails sway on the stickers you just sent in a random comment. You're drifting further away day by day, not knowing when you will return.
And if you don't have your proper name and real identity on the internet, you appear as an anonymous person.
You want to find someone who can understand you as an anonymous person. But they never know it was you – so, does that count?
Okay, bye-bye. Love you!"
Anonymous Person. In the overwhelming current of the internet, where voices rise and disappear in seconds, where identities blur into usernames and digital echoes, the poet stands unseen, unfelt, unknown. A presence fading into the vastness of information, yet a heart still longing for connection.
They say the internet connects us. But why do we feel lonelier than ever?
Scrolling endlessly, consuming without tasting, living without feeling, we become a part of something too large to resist, our existence dissolving into the endless stream of posts, trends, and algorithms. The pressure to be seen, to be relevant, to be something, it drowns the soul.
But beneath all the noise, beneath the exhaustion, there is still you.
This poetry is an invitation. To sit with yourself. To listen to your own emotions, to collect the pieces of your soul that you’ve scattered in the rush of modern life. To give shape to the unspoken words that weigh heavy on your chest.
The internet makes us forget, but art reminds us you are real. Your thoughts, your feelings, your pain, they all matter.
As you absorb the Poetry, as the words sink into you, you will feel it, the power within, the vision from above, the knowing that there is no limit to what you truly need. The answers are within you, waiting to be found.
So take a breath. Look deeper.
And in doing so, you may just find the connection you’ve been longing for not with the world, but with yourself.
That is where true belonging begins.
And when you sit with yourself long enough, something shifts.
The noise outside grows softer, the rush slows, and for the first time in a long time, you hear your own voice, raw, unfiltered, real.
It was never about being seen by others. It was about seeing yourself.
The poetry speaks of survival, not in the way the world defines it, chasing, achieving, proving, but in the quiet way the soul longs for. Surviving the digital storm without losing yourself. Breathing through the weight of existence. Finding warmth in your own presence.
Because to exist is not just to be here. It is to be aware. To feel. To express. To carve out a space where you are whole, even when the world pulls you in a thousand directions.
And as you read, as you let the words settle into your skin, a question lingers.
In absorbing this art, you will begin to collect them again.
In losing yourself to the world, you will find a way back home.
