Does quran have any restriction about mastubation?

The Qur’an says absolutely nothing explicit about masturbation.

• No verse uses a term that clearly means masturbation.

• No direct command forbidding it.

• No direct allowance, either.

That means:

• If someone tells you “it’s haram” based only on the Qur’an—they’re adding interpretation.

• If someone says “it’s halal”—same thing, just interpretation.

What Allah does say in clear terms is about:

• Guarding private parts

• Permissible sex being only within marriage (or bondwomen in historical context)

• Avoiding indecency

But masturbation is never mentioned by name.
